Conservatives had to endure eight disastrous years of having incompetent liberal Barack Obama as our president, and we never failed to respect the presidency, even if we vehemently disagreed with the person holding that office. Liberals, however, think that they don’t need to return the favor, and have been showing unprecedented open contempt for Republican President Donald Trump.

One of the very worst of such leftists has been, to nobody’s surprise, talk show host and LGBT activist Ellen DeGeneres. Ellen recently had former Fox News host Megyn Kelly and told her directly that she would never have President Trump on her program.

Explained Ellen why Trump has been effectively banned from ever appearing on Ellen, “There’s nothing I’m going to say to him that’s gonna change him and I don’t want to give him a platform because it just…validates him.” Ellen then said, “And I can’t have someone that I feel is not only dangerous for the country and for me personally as a gay woman, but to the world.”

On the show, Megyn rambled about her experience with Trump during the election, saying, “I was on the receiving end of his [Trump’s] attentions, shall we say, for a long time. And I think in a way I was a canary in the coal mine because now we see what he was doing to me he’s doing to all the media. As much as we love to hate the media, I worry about them. It’s hard to be out there reporting on him fairly and get beaten up every day and every night. And it’s bad for the First Amendment, it’s bad for the country, even if you think the media is biased.”

This prompted DeGeneres to ask, “But now you have a new show and would you have him on your show?” Surprisingly, Kelly had the basic decency to respond, “Definitely. I mean, I would not say no to the sitting President of the United States.” Do you think Ellen should be kicked off the air for trying to degrade Trump like this?

Watch below:

  • Tom says:

I have no respect for Ellen and not watch her show, nor will I ever watch her show. She is a disgrace.

  • Yolanda Honda says:

No respect to the president of the USA shows no self-respect …,,we are an organized society not a tribe with no social guidance…. grow up !!! We accepted Obama as a president, I did not vote for him and defineyly not like him or his whole family but never posted or demonstrated or agitated anyone to work against him as all of you do…. no class democrats 🙁

  • Paula says:

My husband and I recorded her show every day, and let her Trump bashing go until this. We no longer record her show and will not watch it ever again.

Secret Service Officer Assaulted Outside White House — Suspect Arrested

A man was arrested on Aug. 9 after allegedly assaulting a uniformed Secret Service officer outside the White House, an agency spokesperson said.

The assault took place around 12:30 p.m. in the 1600 block of Pennsylvania Avenue NW, an area that is frequented by pedestrians and tourists hoping to see the White House.

A Secret Service spokesperson said in a statement to The Washington Post that the man “physically assaulted” a uniformed officer near a guard booth at 15th Street and that the attack was “without provocation.”

The officer did not receive any life-threatening injuries, the spokesperson said. The incident is being investigated and the identity of the person who was arrested was not immediately made public.

The Epoch Times has contacted the Secret Service for further comment.

Tuesday’s incident came shortly before President Joe Biden delivered remarks on the South Lawn of the White House as he signed the CHIPS and Science Act allocating a $280 billion funding package toward boosting domestic semiconductor manufacturing and scientific research.

“The CHIPS and Science Act supercharges our efforts to make semiconductors here in America, those tiny computer chips smaller than a fingertip that are the building blocks for our modern economy, powering everything from smartphones, to dishwashers, to automobiles,” Biden said when signing the act.

“America invented the semiconductor … and this law brings it back home. It’s in our economic interest and it’s in our national security interest to do so,” Biden added.

    CHIPS Act Signed Into Law

According to a White House fact sheet on the law, the CHIPS and Science Act will “boost American semiconductor research, development, and production, ensuring U.S. leadership in the technology that forms the foundation of everything from automobiles to household appliances to defense systems.”

Specifically, the law will “strengthen American manufacturing, supply chains, and national security, and invest in research and development, science and technology, and the workforce of the future to keep the United States the leader in the industries of tomorrow, including nanotechnology, clean energy, quantum computing, and artificial intelligence.”

While Democrats and other supporters of the law have touted its potential to improve jobs and national security by removing the United States’ dependence on foreign supply chains, critics argue that it amounts to a corporate handout as it would provide computer chip manufacturers with financial incentives to boost production in the country.

Critics also argue that the law could increase inflation, which stood at 9.1 percent in June, and be a burden to taxpayers.

“The question that we should be asking is this,” said Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) during a Monday speech on the Senate floor. “Should American taxpayers provide the microchip industry with a blank check of over $76 billion at the same exact time when semiconductor companies are making tens of billions of dollars in profits and paying their CEOs exorbitant compensation packages?”

“I think the answer to that is a resounding no.”

REPORT: Informant Told FBI What Documents Trump Stored at Mar-a-Lago and Where to Search

More than 3 dozen FBI agents descended on Trump’s Florida residence and searched the compound for several hours.

The FBI would not allow Trump’s lawyers to be anywhere near the areas that were rummaged through.

“Everyone was asked to leave the premises, they wanted to be left alone, without any witnesses to see what they were doing, taking or, hopefully not, “planting.” Why did they STRONGLY insist on having nobody watching them, everybody out?” Trump wrote on Truth Social on Wednesday.

According to Newsweek, a Confidential Human Source (CHS) told the FBI what documents were stored at Mar-a-Lago and where they were stored.

    Newsweek reported:

The raid on Mar-a-Lago was based largely on information from an FBI confidential human source, one who was able to identify what classified documents former President Trump was still hiding and even the location of those documents, two senior government officials told Newsweek.

The officials, who have direct knowledge of the FBI’s deliberations and were granted anonymity in order to discuss sensitive matters, said the raid of Donald Trump’s Florida residence was deliberately timed to occur when the former president was away.

The act, and concerns about the illegal possession of classified “national defense information” are the bases for the search warrant, according to the two sources. The raid had nothing to do with the January 6 investigation or any other alleged wrongdoing by the former president.

In the past week, the prosecutor in the case and local Assistant U.S. Attorney went to Florida magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhart in West Palm Beach to seek approval for the search of Donald Trump’s private residence. The affidavit to obtain the search warrant, the intelligence source says, contained abundant and persuasive detail that Trump continued to possess the relevant records in violation of federal law, and that investigators had sufficient information to prove that those records were located at Mar-a-Lago—including the detail that they were contained in a specific safe in a specific room.

The National Archives already raided Mar-a-Lago back in February and found nothing of note that was stored at Trump’s residence.

DOJ Charges Iranian Operative for Allegedly Plotting to Murder John Bolton on US Soil

Iranian operative Shahram Poursafi has been charged in an alleged plot to kill former National Security Adviser John Bolton, the Department of Justice (DOJ) announced Wednesday.

The DOJ noted in a press release that Poursafi was a member of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and an Iranian national. The 45-year-old is accused of attempting “to arrange the murder of” Bolton, “likely in retaliation for the January 2020 death of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps — Qods Force … commander Qasem Soleimani,” according to the department.

“Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, through the Defendant, tried to hatch a brazen plot: assassinate a former U.S. official on U.S. soil in retaliation for U.S. actions,” U.S. Attorney Matthew M. Graves for the District of Columbia said in the statement. “Iran and other hostile governments should understand that the U.S. Attorney’s Office and our law enforcement partners will do everything in our power to thwart their violent plots and bring those responsible to justice.”

The DOJ detailed the alleged plot in its lengthy statement, writing that Poursafi first asked an unnamed individual to take photographs of Bolton back in October 2021. Poursafi allegedly claimed the photographs were related to a book he was writing, and the individual he first contacted suggested an associate could “take the pictures for $5,000-$10,000,” according to the DOJ.

Poursafi began messaging with the unnamed associate using “an encrypted messaging application” in early November 2021. Soon, according to the DOJ, he “offered the CHS [confidential human source] $250,000 to hire someone to ‘eliminate’” Bolton.

“This amount would later be negotiated up to $300,000. Poursafi added that he had an additional ‘job,’ for which he would pay $1 million,” according to the DOJ.

“Poursafi directed the CHS to open a cryptocurrency account to facilitate payment, but stipulated that the CHS would likely have to carry out the murder before he/she could be paid,” the DOJ’s statement adds. “He further explained to the CHS that if he/she was paid and the murder was not completed, Poursafi’s ‘group’ would be angry. A later search of one of Poursafi’s online accounts revealed pictures of Poursafi wearing a uniform with an IRGC patch. During their communications, the CHS made several references to Poursafi being associated with IRGC-QF. Poursafi never denied his involvement with IRGC-QF.”

The alleged assassination plot continued to unfold over the course of the next several months. In late November 2021, Poursafi allegedly told the CHS that his “group” required “video confirmation of” Bolton’s death.

As the months dragged on, communication between Poursafi and the CHS continued, with the Iranian national even threatening to give “the job” to someone else in February 2022, according to the DOJ.

In March 2022, Poursafi appeared to pivot away from the alleged plot to kill Bolton.

“On March 10, 2022, Poursafi told the CHS he had another assassination job for the CHS in the United States, but to ‘keep [the former National Security Advisor] in the back of your mind,’” the DOJ’s statement reads. “Approximately one month later, Poursafi encouraged the CHS to accept this offer, explaining that if it was done successfully, Poursafi would be able to ingratiate himself with his ‘group’ and regain the tasking to murder the former National Security Advisor.”

Ultimately, the CHS demanded Poursafi send over money as proof that he could pay for the assassination, the DOJ reported.

“Later that day, the cryptocurrency wallet received two payments totaling $100,” according to the DOJ.

Bolton, who served in former President Donald Trump’s administration, issued a statement thanking the DOJ for starting criminal proceedings in the case.

“While much cannot be said publicly right now, one point is indisputable: Iran’s rulers are liars, terrorists, and enemies of the United States,” Bolton wrote. “Their radical, anti-American objectives are unchanged; their commitments are worthless; and their global threat is growing.”

Poursafi is charged with the “use of interstate commerce facilities in the commission of murder for hire” and “providing and attempting to provide material support to a transnational murder plot,” according to the criminal complaint.

The DOJ noted Poursafi is not in custody and “remains at large abroad.”

Health Officials on High Alert After Dangerous Pathogen Spreads in China

Health authorities are on high alert after reports of a new virus have arisen in the People’s Republic of China.

At least 35 people have been infected by Langya henipavirus (LayV) in China’s Shandong and Henan provinces in the northeast, according to Taiwan’s Centers for Disease Control.

The health agency cited a recent study from the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM), which is titled “A Zoonotic Henipavirus in Febrile Patients in China.”

Researchers who monitored the infections found that LayV symptoms appear to share similarities with the flu, including fever, cough, headache, muscle soreness, fatigue, loss of appetite and nausea.

Twenty-six of the 35 patients were said to be infected with LayV only, meaning there were no other pathogens present.

“These 26 patients presented with fever (100% of the patients), fatigue (54%), cough (50%), anorexia (50%), myalgia (46%), nausea (38%), headache (35%), and vomiting (35%), accompanied by abnormalities of thrombocytopenia (35%), leukopenia (54%), and impaired liver (35%) and kidney (8%) function,” researchers wrote.

The infected LayV patients reportedly had a “recent history of animal exposure in eastern China,” according to the study’s summary.

Medical experts detected the new virus through throat swab samples, which were put under “metagenomic analysis and subsequent virus isolation.”

The genome of LayV is reportedly composed of 18,402 nucleotides, and it has an identical genome organization to other henipaviruses in the Paramyxoviridae family – also known as a family of single-stranded RNA viruses.

Henipaviruses can infect humans and cause fatal diseases, according to the NEJM study. These viruses are typically found in bats, rodents and shrews.

So far, there hasn’t been human-to-human transmission of LayV and the patients weren’t in close contact.

“The infection in the human population may be sporadic,” researchers wrote. “Contact tracing of 9 patients with 15 close-contact family members revealed no close-contact LayV transmission, but our sample size was too small to determine the status of human-to-human transmission for LayV.”

The study noted that further assessments need to be conducted to see if LayV could have a cross-reaction with the Mojiang virus, which is another henipavirus that can cause lethal pneumonia.

Detection of LayV comes at a time when most of the world is battling continued COVID-19 infections along with monkeypox containment.

WATCH: Muslims Use Knives to Slice Open Their Heads During Annual Ashura Festival

It’s that time of year again.

Babies, children and adults were covered in blood as Muslims used knives to slice open their heads during Ashura.

Shiite Muslims participate in Ashura every year to mourn the death of their ‘prophet’ Muhammad’s grandson, Hussein Ali.

“Shiite Muslim mourners flagellate themselves during a procession on the tenth day of Muharram which marks the day of Ashura in Ajmer, India, on 09 August 2022.” AFP reported.

    The Sun reported:

DEVOUT Shiite Muslims have covered themselves in blood from self-inflicted wounds as they mark Ashura, one of the holiest days in their calendar.

Every year, hundreds of thousands of people converge on Karbala, some 50 miles south of Baghdad, Iraq, to observe the solemn holy day.

Shiites carried out one of the most spectacular rituals of the holy day, involving thousands of people sprinting from an area outside the centre of Karbala toward the gold-domed shrine of Hussein to enact their rush to answer their beloved saint’s cries for help in battle.

Shiites see Hussein and his descendants as the rightful heirs to the prophet.

Mass rallies continued for a second day in Islamabad and major cities across Pakistan, where participants rhythmically beat their bodies with knife-edged chains.

Men staggered through the streets, blood dripping down their backs.

In the Shiite-dominated Baghdad suburb of Sadr City, processions of men and boys expressed extreme fervour in the Ashura rituals of self-flagellation.

Johnny Depp Comeback in Full Swing After Landing Multi-Year, 7-Figure Deal

Actor Johnny Depp’s comeback appears to be in full swing after he reportedly landed a multi-year, seven-figure deal to continue as the celebrity face of Dior’s bestselling Sauvage cologne.

The 59-year-old actor reportedly signed a new contract with the fashion house after first agreeing to promote the brand in 2015, TMZ reported. Sources told the outlet Depp did a photo shoot with fashion photographer Greg Williams before performing in a rock concert with Jeff Beck in Paris that would be used in a new Dior advertising campaign.

It comes after the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star appeared in a series of black-and-white photos posted on Dior Beauty’s Instagram account on Monday that were captured backstage before a Paris performance.

Dior captioned the post, “Backstage at [Olympia Hall] before the last show. Fearless yet human, just like Sauvage. Photo: [Greg Williams photography] #DiorBeauty #DiorParfums #DiorSauvage.”

The “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” star has been working on turning his career around after winning a $10 million judgment against his ex-wife, actress Amber Heard, in a highly-publicized defamation trial.

In June, a jury found the “Aquaman” star had defamed Depp in an op-ed the actress penned in The Washington Post in 2018 about domestic violence.

Following the verdict, Johnny released a lengthy statement thanking the jury for giving him his “life back.”

“False, very serious and criminal allegations were levied at me via the media, which triggered an endless barrage of hateful content, although no charges were ever brought against me,” Depp’s statement read, in part.

“It had already traveled around the world twice within a nanosecond and it had a seismic impact on my life and my career,” Depp added, as he explained that he pursued the case in the first place to “reveal the truth.”

“And six years later, the jury gave me my life back,” the actor continued. “I am truly humbled.”

WATCH: Little Leaguer Stops Game to Comfort the Pitcher Who Nailed Him in the Head

A little league batter from Oklahoma stopped the game to comfort a distraught pitcher from East Texas — just moments after that pitcher had hit him in the head with a pitch.

Video of the whole scene — which took place during the the first inning of Tuesday’s Little League World Series Southwest Region Championship game — went viral after @Jomboy shared it on Twitter with the caption, “‘Hey, you’re doing just great,’ Oklahoma little leaguer gets hit in the head and then comforts the pitcher who is shaken up afterward.”

The video began with the Oklahoma player — Isaiah Jarvis — waiting for the pitch. As it got closer, he appeared to realize it wasn’t coming over the plate, recoiling slightly — but not enough to avoid impact. The ball struck the batter in the cheek, glancing off his helmet and knocking the helmet to the ground.

Jarivs spun around and dropped to the ground holding his head in his hands as the umpire bent over to make sure that he was all right. An instant replay showed the umpire holding out his hands to stop the game before he checked on the player.

The video then cut to the Jarvis, back on his feet and taking his base at first with his helmet still in hand. He shouted something unintelligible toward the pitchers’ mound — then tossed his helmet onto the ground and walked into the infield.

He made a beeline for the pitcher, Kaiden Shelton, who was clearly distraught, and hugged him right there on the mound. Jarvis could be heard consoling Shelton, telling him, “Hey, you’re doing just great.”

“Look, we all know that Twitter can be an absolute sewer full of cynicism, negativity and downright stupidity but these kids are 12 years old! It’s not the big leagues. If you can’t find the good in this and revel in grass roots sportsmanship and compassion, you’re hopeless,” Howie Rose — the voice of the Mets — tweeted in response.

Keith Boykin added, “This is how we build a kinder, gentler nation — by seeing the humanity of those in need. If kids can do it, adults can do it too.”

“This is so good. So good,” former White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer remarked.

“So classy and thoughtful. We should really celebrate young people when they are kind,” Fox News anchor Shannon Bream said. “We’ve all made countless mistakes. How generous when someone encourages us to keep going, especially if they were the ones on the other end of our mistake.”
