Conservative activist Lauren Southern has reportedly been banned for life from the United Kingdom for conducting a social experiment on Islamic attitudes to homosexuality and transgenderism in Luton, England.
The 22-year-old hails from Canada, which as one of the Commonwealth realms continues to share a head of state with the United Kingdom in Queen Elizabeth II — making the move to ban her paticularly unusual.

She was recently detained in Calais, France — a popular launchpad for thousands of illegal migrants seeking to enter Britain — under Schedule 7 of the Terrorism Act, shortly after Austrian identitarian activist Martin Sellner and American YouTube commentator Brittany Pettibone received similar treatment.

This was despite a police officer who called Southern’s father openly admitting they did not actually suspect her of being “a terrorist or anything like that”.

“The UK Home Office told me [I was banned] because I was caught distributing racist leaflets in Luton town centre,” the Canadian claimed in a video giving her side of the story.

“I was doing no such thing … in fact, I was there because I was filming a social experiment of sorts,” she explained.

“This all began a couple of weeks ago when I re-read a Vice article which claimed that Jesus Christ led his life as a gay man … I was intrigued by the article, not necessarily because I thought there was any validity to it — I think the notion is a little ridiculous — but as I carried on my day after reading it, I couldn’t help but think that I didn’t recall much backlash when the article came out.

“Maybe there were a few posts here and there, but there were no protests, no religious leaders condemning Vice — there was certainly no Charlie Hebdo style attack on their head office,” she said.

“It made me think back to a group of protestors in London who outraged the Islamic community by having pro-LGBT and pro-Islam signs. They were receiving death threats.

“There was also a gay Muslim couple who had this happen after they were married this year — and I was interested in, I guess, the different reactions between the two faiths and communities.”

Southern described how she then decided to conduct an experiment to see “what would happen if we played the role of an LGBT social justice warrior activist, and set up a stall to celebrate LGBT diversity within the Islamic community”.

To that end, they travelled to Luton, which has a large Muslim population, to distribute flyer with “the usual inclusive slogans that you see: ‘Allah is gay, Allah is trans, Allah is intersex, Allah is all out us’ … to see what would happen if a good-natured LGBT campaigner tried to nurture some good will between two very different communities.”

The results, as Southern shows, were a crowd of angry Muslims approaching the stall to express their outrage, and the police stepping in to shut down the stall and confiscate the leaflets.

“People are coming up to us and telling us that this is offensive, and we are potentially going to have a situation on our hands where people are going to start becoming injured, because people are taking offence to what you are saying,” explained one police officer, who warned Southern he would arrest her to placate the angry crowd if necessary.

“Little did I know that the social experiment was not actually over [afterwards],” Southern says in her video.

“Fast-forward two weeks, and I’m being detained in Calais under the Terrorism Act, and told I am being banned from the country for handing out ‘racist material’.

“Not only is the idea that the statement ‘God is gay’ or ‘Allah is gay’ is a racist statement bizarre … It also highlights a monumental double-standard for Western societies.

“Why is it racist to say ‘Allah is gay’ but not racist to say ‘Jesus is gay’? Why does the rights of Muslims to be homophobic trump the rights of gay people to have their self-expression?

“Why does causing offence — not inciting hate or violence, but causing offence — to a certain group, result in a lifetime ban from a country which proudly touts tolerance as one of its key values?”

She concluded: “The UK, unless they are fine with being under archaic blasphemy laws enforced by Isalm and Shariah… really need to start having a conversation about this, before they are no longer able to have that conversation at all.”

WATCH: Alyssa Milano Pounds On Senate Office With Enraged Anti-Kavanaugh Mob

Published

on

Far-left actress Alyssa Milano paraded around a mob of anti-Kavanaugh activists on Wednesday and began pounding on the door of Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-MS) while shouting, “open the door, hear the stories!” about women who survived sexual assault.

The goal of these #Womentowomen protests was about potentially persuading female backers of President Trump’s SCOTUS nominee Brett Kavanaugh into withdrawing their support. Hyde-Smith’s staff reportedly granted them no such hearing, according to one protester.

“[Hyde-Smith’s staff] seemed to be smirking and on their phones and they then just went back into their office and closed the door,” says a protester in the video. “And the gentleman who said he was going to find out just sort of snuck in and grabbed something and left.”

Alyssa Milano led the women in several different chants: “Open the door! Hear the stories!” and “Open your heart! Hear the stories!” were the most popular.

When the protesters were not pounding on the door, some of them took turns sharing heartfelt stories of sexual abuse they claim to have experienced.

“No more silence,” one woman said, prompting repeats from the others. “No more predators on the Supreme Court. No more. Never again!”

The chanting and pounding on the senator’s door begins at the 35-minute mark in the video below:

Bank of America Wades Into Gun Control Debate, Will No Longer Give Loans to Some Gun Manufacturers

Published

on

On Tuesday, Bank of America’s vice chairman, Anne Finucane, told Bloomberg Television the company will no longer provide loans to gun manufacturers who produce “military-style firearms” for civilians.

“We want to contribute in any way we can to reduce these mass shootings,” Finucane said. “It’s just such a tragedy in the United States, so that’s number one. We do have a few manufacturers of military-style firearms.

“We have let them know it is not our intent to underwrite or finance military-style firearms on a go forward basis,” she continued.

Finucane said Bank of America has had “intense conversations” with its handful of gun manufacturers over the course of a few months: “It’s our intention not to finance these military-style firearms for civilian use.”

The move comes in the aftermath of the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School that left 17 people dead.

Bank of America’s decision has been met with praise from gun control groups, like the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence:

“We were heartened to see Bank of America join the list of companies stepping up to keep America safe,” Avery Gardiner, co-president of the Brady Campaign, told Bloomberg. “Why would anyone want to help finance assault weapons that are regularly used in mass shootings?”

Trump: Until There’s ‘A Wall and Proper Security, We’re Going to Be Guarding our Border with the Military’

Published

With Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School making major changes to security in the wake of the mass shooting that occurred in February, many students claim their privacy has been violated and say the school now feels like a prison.

Now, one of the most prominent gun control activists from the school is even going as far as to accuse suppliers of the security measures of simply wanting to treat the students like “prisoners and livestock.”

Activist Emma González said the people in charge are making all the wrong changes and said things like having clear backpacks won’t make them safer:

To protest the mandatory clear backpacks, students are filling their bags with tampons:

Other students have voiced their displeasure as well.

“It feels like being punished,” student Isabelle Robinson said. “It feels like jail, being checked every time we go to school.”

“Tomorrow we will have to go through security check points and be given clear backpacks, my school is starting to feel like a prison,” student Sarah Chadwick tweeted.

Joe Biden: I Would Have ‘Beat the Hell’ Out of Donald Trump in High School

Published

on

Former Vice President Joe Biden told students at an anti-sexual assault rally in Florida that if he were in high school, he would “beat the hell” out of President Donald Trump for disrespecting women.

“A guy who ended up becoming our national leader said, ‘I can grab a woman anywhere and she likes it,’” Biden told students at the University of Miami on Tuesday. “They asked me if I’d like to debate this gentleman, and I said ‘no.’ I said, ‘If we were in high school, I’d take him behind the gym and beat the hell out of him.’”

Biden told the audience that the country has a lot of work to do in combating sexual assault but has also made much progress in battling the problem because of the #MeToo movement.

“Sexual assault is about power and the abuse of power more than it is about sex,” he said.

The former vice president, who is reportedly considering a presidential bid in 2020, has been trying to do damage control during the past few days after the release of Secret Empires: How the American Political Class Hides Corruption and Enriches Family and Friends, written by Peter Schweizer, Breitbart News’s senior editor-at-large and president of the Government Accountability Institute.

The new book revealed that Biden’s son, Hunter, inked a $1.5 billion deal with the Chinese government in 2013 for his firm Rosemont Seneca Bohai. Hunter made that deal just days after the former vice president traveled to China with him.

Schweizer’s last book, Clinton Cash, prompted the FBI to open an investigation into the Clinton Foundation.

Woman Screams At Military Veteran Over His Dog, The Restaurant Apologizes Instead Of Her

Published

on

A video of Delaware woman screaming at a military veteran who brought his service dog inside a restaurant went viral. She decided to broke the silence in order to defend her behavior.

The woman stated that she doesn’t regret how loud she was, defending herself that she “reacted based on the way they reacted to me.”

Ciara Miller showed how angry she was after a military veteran appeared into the restaurant with his service dog.

“The dog’s body was about the same height as the table. Basically, the butt was sitting in front of me at the table,” she said for WTXF-TV.

Even though in the video there isn’t any racial language, Miller said that customers started shouting “derogatory racial statements” at her.

The restaurant where this situation occurred, Kathy’s Crab House in Delaware City, responded to the video in a positive manner.

The restaurant made an announcement that will sponsor a fundraiser to awareness for veterans and their service animals:

“We would like to express at this time how sorry we are over the embarrassing turn of events that occurred earlier this week in our restaurant, here in Delaware City. It is unfortunate that some of the public are not familiar with federal regulations regarding service animals, which, in fact, do permit service animals into establishments such as grocery stores, public buildings, and restaurants, giving aid and comfort to their masters in their time of need.

That being said, we would like to take what may have been perceived as a negative incident and turn this into a positive opportunity, by educating and enlightening the public about the role of service animals and how they help and serve many returning veterans who have suffered serious wounds and injuries, as well as those veterans suffering from PTSD.

So, at this time, we would like to announce that we will be sponsoring a fundraising effort for veterans and service animals thru the Montana Wounded Warriors.  We would like to enlist your help as a sponsor, volunteer, or as a donor and help us enlighten and educate the public as well as to help those veterans in need.

Details need to be finalized at this time, but as they come together, we will make additional announcements to keep you apprised of our progress.”

It very clear whose side the restaurant taking in this incident.

Genius Man Saves His Home From Flooding With Aqua Dam — Look at This Self-Reliance

Published

on

A couple in Rosenberg, Texas, saved their home and all of their possessions amid the unprecedented flooding causing by Hurricane Harvey by building an Aqua Dam around their property.

Once again, Texas displayed the true spirit of self-reliance.

Randy and Jennifer Socha told KPRC-TV that their home was hit $150,000 worth of flood damage in 2016, so the couple knew they needed to act when they saw Hurricane Harvey barreling toward Texas.

They paid $18,000 for the Aqua Dam and it was reportedly delivered from Louisiana in just hours.

KPRC-TV has more details on how the aqua dam works:

The Aqua Dam has watertight inner and outer tubes made of strong fabric. The tubes fill up with on-site water that needs to be pumped out.

Randy Socha said he and his wife pumped water out for three to four days as flooding continued, but the hard work was worth it in the end.

Socha told Click2Houston.com the process was like “fighting water with water.”

The dam the couple purchased was 3 feet high and 380 feet long and surrounded their home.

Even when the flooding was at its worst, the Sochas’ Aqua Dam held and protected their home. Needless to say, they feel like the $18,000 was money well spent.

At least 45 people were killed in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, and tens of thousands of Texans were forced to evacuate their homes.

The storm is said to have caused up to $160 billion in damages.
